Placement Activity: Spoon Puppets

A volunteer found this activity from the website link listed on the right-hand side of this site, babycenter.com.  Kids can use their imaginations to make a puppet show out of old plastic spoons!

Activity Name:
Spoon Puppets

Here are the instructions from the website:
"Draw a funny face on the bottom side of the spoon with a black permanent marker. To make the hair, bundle pieces of string together and knot one piece around the middle to keep it together and make a part. Trim the ends to the desired length. Wrap a piece of pipe cleaner around the neck of the spoon, leaving the ends on each side long enough to make the arms. Cut 4 small matching hands out of felt. Place a hand over and under the end of each pipe cleaner and glue together. To make the shirt, fold a 4" square of patterned paper in half. Cut a slit at the top center for the collar. Trim the sides to make sleeves. Pull over the spoon head and glue to body and arms. Repeat with a slightly smaller piece of paper to make the bottoms. Decorate with scrap paper to make a tie, bow, or other accessories."
